Senator Schmitt Sends Letter to Biden Cabinet Secretaries Calling for Invocation of the 25th Amendment
WASHINGTON – Today, Senator Eric Schmitt sent letters to cabinet secretaries in the Biden Administration calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment and Joe Biden’s immediate resignation for the security and prosperity of the United States:
“Joe Biden has decided he is not capable of being a candidate; in doing so, his admission also means he cannot serve as President. Therefore, it is in the best immediate interest of the safety of the United States for Joe Biden to resign from office or face removal under the 25th Amendment. Under the Biden-Harris Administration, Americans are paying more for everything, have seen America’s standing on the world stage diminished, and have been pushed aside in favor of illegal aliens flooding across our Southern border. President of the United States is not a part time job nor is it a job for someone who has proven he is incapable of serving in the first place,” said Senator Eric Schmitt.
BACKGROUND:
- The Founding Fathers knew the “necessity of an energetic Executive.” President Biden requires an 8 pm bedtime and can only work six hours a day, according to reporting earlier this month. The American people cannot afford a part-time President given the gravity and magnitude of the domestic and foreign challenges the United States faces.
- The President and his Cabinet have not held a full Cabinet meeting in nearly 10 months. Media have reported that it was “customary for Cabinet officials to submit questions and key talking points that they plan to present in front of Biden ahead of time to White House aides”
- The President contracted COVID-19 in the last week, with his last public appearance on July 17th. The President has canceled campaigning and has not been seen or heard from since, having only announced he will not seek re-election.
- After years of covering up and lying about President Biden’s cognitive decline, Democrats mounted an all-out pressure campaign to force him out of the race. The American people, now deprived of normal partisan primary process, deserve answers into the lies, coverups, and backroom deals connected with President Biden being forced out of the Presidential election.
